Terms of use

Please read these terms before you use this site or send a request. Last updated October 13, 2026.

What the service is

Austin ApplianceFix is a referral service. We collect your request and connect you with independent technicians. We do not perform appliance repairs, employ technicians or control how technicians do their work.

Independent technicians

Technicians are independent businesses. They set their own prices, schedules, warranties and policies, and they are responsible for the work they perform, for any license or insurance they are required to hold, and for the accuracy of their own statements. Any license, certification, authorization or insurance mentioned by a technician belongs to that technician and not to Austin ApplianceFix. Your agreement for repair services is directly between you and the technician.

Fees and referral compensation

Requesting a referral from us is free. We may receive a referral fee from technicians. The technician will tell you their charges before work begins; you are not obliged to hire any technician we refer.

General information only

The guides on this site are general information to help you understand common appliance problems. They are not a diagnosis, a quote or professional advice, and appliance designs vary. Always follow your appliance’s manual and local safety rules. Work involving gas, high voltage, refrigerant or structural changes should be done by qualified professionals. If you smell gas, leave the home and call 911 from outside.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information in your request.
  • Make the appliance and work area safely accessible.
  • Confirm fees, warranty terms and any license or insurance claims with the technician before work begins.

Availability and timing

We do not guarantee that a technician will be available for your request, that a technician will arrive at a particular time, or that a given appliance can be repaired.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Austin ApplianceFix is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent technicians, for the results of any repair, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this site or a referral. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

The text, design and graphics on this site belong to Austin ApplianceFix or its licensors. Brand names mentioned belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the appliances people ask about; no manufacturer is affiliated with or endorses this site.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
