Why this site exists
Finding an appliance repair company should not feel like a gamble. In a city the size of Austin, there are many independent technicians and many search results, but it is hard to tell who covers your ZIP code, works on your brand and can come soon. We exist to shorten that search: you describe the problem once, and we connect you with a technician who services your part of town.
What we are, precisely
Austin ApplianceFix is a referral service. We do not employ technicians, we do not repair appliances, and we do not set repair prices. The technicians we connect you with are independent businesses. Each sets its own fees, availability, warranty and insurance. If you want to know what a particular technician holds in the way of licenses or manufacturer authorization, ask them. We do not describe their credentials as ours and we do not publish credentials we cannot verify.
Commitments we make
- We say what we are. A referral service, not a repair company.
- No invented proof. No fake reviews, no made-up counts of repairs, no borrowed logos.
- Accurate guidance. We explain what you can check safely, and we say plainly when a job is for a professional.
- Your choice. You are never obliged to hire a technician we refer.
- Respect for your data. We use your details to handle your request. See the privacy policy.
How our guides are written
The guides on this site are written for homeowners, not technicians. They draw on widely published manufacturer-style maintenance practice and public food-safety guidance such as the USDA’s refrigerator and freezer recommendations. They are general information. Where a topic involves gas, high voltage or sealed refrigerant systems, we say it belongs with a qualified professional. If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us on the contact page and we will correct it.
Where we are
Our business address is Great Hills Trl, Austin, TX 78759. The independent technicians we work with cover seven regions of Austin; see service areas for ZIP codes. For an overview of everything we help with, start at the Austin ApplianceFix home page.
Questions people ask
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Each technician is an independent business and holds whatever licenses and insurance apply to them. We do not claim those credentials for ourselves. Ask the technician to confirm what they hold before work begins.
Are you affiliated with any appliance manufacturer?
No. Brand names are mentioned only to describe the appliances people ask about.
How do you make money?
We may receive a referral fee from the independent technicians we connect you with. It does not change the price they quote you.
